Nearly 135 days following the previous coach's first press conference as the club's manager, his replacement the German coach faced reporters at Rangers' stadium for the initial occasion.

The scale of the challenge facing him is widely recognized, considering his predecessor's chaotic and unsuccessful 123-day spell.

The former Wednesday manager was joined by chairman the chairman, along with the much-criticized pair of football director Thelwell and chief executive Stewart.

But what exactly did we learn from the 36-year-old German's maiden media outing as Rangers boss?

Rohl's Primary Focus - Victory Comes First

One thing emerged clearly from Rohl's initial presentation before the Scottish media - he recognizes the need to win matches, and achieve this quickly.

His predecessor Martin lasted only 17 matches and 123 days as manager, so the inquiry arose about what timeframe Rohl believes is realistic to turn around the struggling team.

While skillfully sidestepping a direct answer that could bring later expectations, Rohl's communication was very evident.

"Hopefully very quickly," he stated. "This is crucial.
"In football you have limited opportunity. You can discuss long-term vision but it's understood it's about immediate results and the short-term involves securing victories. That is what I demand.
"One thing remains clear - I need all players to comprehend how we want to play. I return to my primary theme: it's winning, entertaining football and it's together. If you follow this order, I believe that I will remain very long at the club."

Pressure is Normal

The previous manager needed a police escort to leave the Falkirk Stadium after his last game in charge.

We've witnessed how hostile situations can become at football clubs when performances are poor. Demonstrations have almost become a regular aspect of the matchday experience on each part of the city currently.

As Rangers' youngest manager in history, the question was posed about which attributes Rohl believes he has that would enable him to cope, let alone thrive, in one of the most pressurized roles in UK soccer?

"In my opinion expectations in this business are standard," he commented. "You must learn that rapidly.
"I believe certain individuals might mention my age but I'm a decade and a half on this path. I experienced an excellent opportunity to work with the German club and be just the assistant coach, but I experienced what it means to manage a team and the pressure involved.
"You begin getting results and then some critics claim you must produce entertaining football. That's the next phase but that's exactly my intention. I relish those expectations and I'm excited about the future."

The Sporting Director Explains Striker Acquisition & Appointing Family Member

Kevin Thelwell media conference

There were plenty of inquiries from journalists directed at Thelwell.

Significant attention has focused on the hiring of Robbie Thelwell as recruitment chief, with fans unconvinced about his credentials for the position.

Nevertheless, he defended and explained the choice to bring Thelwell Jnr to Ibrox.

"It remains uncomfortable to hear and in appearance I think we all agreed when we took this decision to hire Robbie that he'd be viewed negatively," Thelwell said.
"The truth of circumstances is that we aim to attract the top players to this club.
"My perspective on Robbie's career and background is he didn't need family help in football.
"He served at Villa as a senior scout, he then joined Norwich City as scouting chief and then was elevated to development role.
"Before we hiring him, multiple Premier League clubs wanted to acquire him. Our approach from the beginning of proceedings was discuss with the CEO, the chairman and vice-chairman Marathe about this situation.
"I was extremely open and I believe Robbie probably experienced a more rigorous process than any other who's employed by the team.
"I'm certain is that he will work constantly to achieve success for this football club and I'm looking forward seeing him demonstrating that he'll become an excellent staff member for the club."

Additionally, Thelwell supported the acquisition of striker Chermiti, who joined the club for a reported first payment of £8m, after failing to score in 24 games for Everton.

The sporting director who transferred the Portugal young international to Merseyside from Sporting - again for significant money in a fifteen million pound transfer.

The question came if he stands by his multi-million pound signing, who is yet to register in seven outings for the club.

"Absolutely, completely," Thelwell answered. "I believe the striker represents who's got great ability.
"I haven't doubted him whatsoever. Again, I believe Danny will help to maximize the potential out of the player.
"These are initial stages for him, he remains young talent and of course with inexperienced players they sometimes take time.
"However, I'm convinced throughout of his time here he's going to prove that he is highly capable player."

The CEO Understands Fan Disappointment and Anger

Stewart was also facing firing line, considering the vitriol that has been directed his way by some of the club's fans.

Additionally, there was a banner in the stadium during the last tie with Dundee United suggesting Stewart - and the sporting director - to pack his bags before they were packed for him.

Like his football director, Stewart didn't evade the issue.

"I totally understand the frustration and hurt that the supporters are experiencing because performances recently haven't met good enough and nobody's happy with those," he said.
"The pain and frustration fans experience is mirrored within the leadership.
"Recognize that there must exist an outlet for that dissatisfaction and in my role, I'm responsible.
"I'm a lightning rod for such issues and my responsibility as a
